Following their remarkable win, we caught up with SHMOLDS to discuss their feelings on completing double tournament wins in the Season One Qualifiers and their thoughts on the upcoming final.

How does it feel to be the champion of the MW3 Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 3?

Feels pretty good, to be honest, I’m not always coming out on top, but to be able to win two feels amazing.

You have secured the number 1 seed spot for the Season Final. How does that feel?

Feels promising and closer to that final placement.

How do you prepare for a tournament?

I usually just sit in firing range for a good half hour till I feel my aim is ready.

Any advice for aspiring gamers looking to compete in esports?

I’m not the best thats for sure but keep grinding and pushing for greatness.

Who or what inspired you to start competing in esports?

Honestly I only started gaming about 4 years ago, my partner was actually the person who got me hooked on gaming.

How do you handle the pressure during high-stakes matches?

Pressure, I don’t stress myself I just get out there and have fun you know. Win or lose theres always experience your gaining.

How do you plan to prepare for the Season Final, and do you have any specific goals?

My plan to preparing for the seasonal is to play alot more multiplayer as I am more of a Warzone player.

What are your initial thoughts about the ESC?

ESC is an awesome organisation, OCE don’t typically have well organised seasonal tournaments like this, so its actually pretty dope that ESC is hosting a well organised seasonal tournament.
