The Final Showdown

DOOKLYNNN clinched a 3-0 win in the final. Despite GOODONMYEND’s initial round win, DOOKLYNNN adapted brilliantly, not conceding another round.

A Word from the Champion

We caught up with DOOKLYNNN to discuss the exhilaration of back-to-back wins, the experience of defeating a renowned player, and the rationale behind the character switch in the final.

How does it feel to achieve back-to-back victories in the ESC Season One SF6 Qualifiers?

Just another day in the office.

Beating a well-known player like GOODONMYEND (ROF), who is competing this week in the Capcom Cup X, must have been challenging. Can you share your thoughts on this accomplishment?

I’m glad my Ryu flowchart worked out as planned. Very calming.

The final match saw a surprising character change from both competitors. What was the strategy behind your character selection?

Ryu was my original character, his Shoryuken attack ( f d df + P) is very strong.

Your win today has secured you the Number One Seed spot for the Season Final. How big of an advantage does that give you in the double-elimination format?

Give me one round and I’ll still win.

As you look ahead, how do you plan to maintain your winning streak in future competitions?

I don’t plan, I just do.

Looking Forward

The ESC Season One continues to thrill with high-level competition and unexpected outcomes. Qualifier 3 for Street Fighter 6 is the last chance to qualify for the Season Final. Entries are now open and close Saturday 24th February 2024. Don’t miss out.
