Understanding the Dynamics of ESC’s Competitive Seasons

Welcome to Esports Championship (ESC), where every season is a new battlefield of skill and strategy. Our unique approach to esports not only offers an exhilarating competitive experience but also a clear path to glory for every participant. Here’s an insider’s look at how our seasons unfold, from thrilling qualifiers to the high-stakes Season Finals.

Our typical season length will range from 8-16 weeks and will include 2-4 different games.

The Heart of Competition: ESC Qualifiers

Your Pathway to the Season Finals

Each season, competitors battle it out in three action-packed qualifiers. For Season One, these will be for two legendary games: Street Fighter 6 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. With a nominal entry fee of $10, players vie for more than just victory; they compete for cash prizes, ranking points, and a coveted spot in the Season Finals. Winners take home $100, while runners-up receive $30.

Earning Your Place: Ranking Points System

Climbing the Ladder to Success

Apart from the immediate rewards, every qualifier offers crucial ranking points. These points accumulate over the season, determining your position on the leaderboard. While winners and runners-up of each qualifier automatically secure their spot in the Season Finals, the top 6 players on the ranking list for each game also earn their place on the grand stage. This system ensures a fair and exciting journey to the Season Finals, rewarding consistent performance.

The ranking points earned are different for each game. You can view these on the tournament page under the “GAME SPECIFIC DETAILS AND RULES” tab.

The Pinnacle of Play: The Season Finals

Where Legends are Forged

The Season Finals are the crescendo of our competitive saga. Here, the top-ranked players and qualifiers’ champions clash in a grand showdown of gaming mastery. With no entry fees, the Finals are purely about skill and strategy. The prize pool, starting at $130, can grow significantly based on the number of entrants in the qualifiers.

A Sustainable and Rewarding Model

Reinvesting in Our Players

ESC is committed to a sustainable model where all entry fees contribute to the prize pools. This approach not only supports our players financially but also ensures the longevity and stability of our platform. For example, if each qualifier is fully entered by 32 players, the extra entry fees significantly boost the Season Finals’ prize pool. This potential for a larger prize pool adds an extra layer of excitement and incentive for participants.

Illustrating the Prize Pool: A Season One Scenario

Maximising Participation and Rewards

Imagine each of our three qualifiers for a game, say Street Fighter 6, is fully entered by 32 players. Here’s how the prize pool calculations work out:

  • Entry Fee per Player: $10
  • Total Entry Fees for a Full Qualifier (32 players): 32 x $10 = $320
  • Guaranteed Prize Pool for Each Qualifier: $130 ($100 for the winner, $30 for the runner-up)

With 32 players, the first 13 entrants cover the guaranteed prize pool ($130). The remaining 19 entrants contribute an additional $190 (19 x $10) to the Season Finals’ prize pool for Street Fighter 6.

  • Additional Contribution from Each Qualifier to the Season Finals: $190
  • Total Additional Contribution from Three Qualifiers: $190 x 3 = $570

Out of this $570, the first $130 is allocated to cover the guaranteed prize pool of the Season Finals since there are no entry fees for it. There is also a Championship Ring given to the Season Final Winner in addition to prize money, which its cost is paid by the extra entry fees. This leaves $325 as an extra reward for the Season Finals, on top of the guaranteed prize pool.

  • Revised Prize Pool for the Season Finals (with full qualifiers):
    • Winner: $345
    • Runner-up: $110
    • Third Place: $25 Ace Gamer Apparel Voucher

The same calculation applies to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. If both games reach full capacity in qualifiers, the total prize pool for the season escalates to an impressive figure:

  • Guaranteed Prize Pool for Both Games (Qualifiers + Finals): $1040
  • Total Extra from Full Qualifiers for Both Games: $650
  • Overall Season Prize Pool: $1040 (guaranteed) + $650 (extra) = $1690

This example highlights our commitment to transparency and player rewards, demonstrating the significant potential for prize money based on full participant turnout. It’s a clear illustration of how ESC is designed to benefit the players, with all entry fees flowing back into the prize pool, ultimately enhancing the competitive experience and rewards.

By laying out these numbers and the process behind them, we at ESC aim to foster an environment of openness and clarity. We believe in empowering our players with full knowledge of how their participation contributes to the overall prize pool and the potential rewards that await them.

Ensuring Guaranteed Rewards

Our Commitment to Players

We guarantee the prize money listed for both qualifiers and Season Finals, irrespective of the number of entrants. This commitment underlines our dedication to providing a rewarding and fair competitive environment for all players.

Viewer Contributions: Enhancing the Prize Pool
