Inside the Mind of a Winner: Interview with PROFESSOR

How does it feel to be the winner of the first SF6 Qualifier in Season Two?

It feels great to be able to compete against skilled players and be able to come out on top.

What does securing a spot in the Season Final mean to you?

Knowing that I have secured a spot early into the season feels great and that I don’t have to necessarily worry about any placements going into the next rounds.

What strategies did you employ to secure your win against LILIUM?

I think playing patient in the neutral really helped in the matchup, but Lilium is an incredible player so they didn’t make it easy on me at any point.

Who or what inspired you to start competing in esports?

I think I just started to compete in esports as I enjoy playing video games, it just felt natural to start to enter tournaments after I had hit master in SF6.

Are there any players you look up to or aspire to compete against?

I would eventually like to play a set against Snake Eyes, watching him playing helped me to improve in different situations with Zangief so I would love to play him eventually.

How do you plan to prepare for the Season Final, and do you have any specific goals?

Just to keep playing and continuing to strive to become a better player by playing against characters that I struggle against.

What are your thoughts about the ESC?

The ESC is a great platform for showcasing different esports talent and being able to compete against different incredible players to improve not only your own skill but to help others improve as well.
